Woensdag 1 juli van 10.00 tot 15.00 uur In this workshop, you’ll learn how to transform an everyday fork with pasta into an hyperrealistic pastel drawing. You don’t need to be a professional, just bring your curiosity. Together, we’ll explore how to use pastel pencils to capture the delicate textures of pasta, the sheen of sauce, and the reflective surface of metal. You’ll learn how to observe fine details, build up layers, and recreate textures that make the subject almost tangible. This workshop is perfect if you enjoy precision, love working with detail, and want to deepen your drawing skills in a calm and supportive setting. All materials will be provided, just show up and enjoy. You’ll learn:
⦁ Methods for pastel drawing
⦁ How to create smooth gradients and realistic textures
⦁ How to work with layering, color blending, and fine detail
⦁ How to capture reflections, depth, shadows, and highlights Whether you’re just getting started with pastels or looking for a new challenge, this workshop is about slowing down, sharpening your observation, and discovering how even the simplest objects can become extraordinary. Throughout my art career I developed the interest for the realist aesthetic and currently I create original pastel drawings from wildlife and still-life to portraiture. My love for pastels also led me to teach my pastel techniques in workshops all over the Netherlands and give pastel courses/lessons online or at my studio. In my lessons I'm committed to make upcoming artists to discover their own passion for the pastel medium and provide them with the tools to express their own vision and unlock the secrets of realistic drawing.
